Kinchafoonee Creek
R. DAWSON & S. FINK

That little shack down on Kinchafoonee Creek

We raise the roof like you wouldn't believe

Muscadine wine in my cup

You're over there looking up

At a Barred owl sitting on a limb

I said, "Hey now baby, listen to them!"

There's a giant oak with resurrection ferns

Follow that creek where it twists and turns

Get in the boat and take a ride

To that blue hole by its side

Grab a swing, we're gonna jump on in

It's another perfect day for a swim

And it feels so good coming home

Where the water gives us life

Oh my, my

Let the water soothe your soul

'Cause it feels so good

Coming home

Crickets and cicadas together with the band

Picked up a spear point that was down in the sand

Appaloosa catfish on the line

Ivory gets them every time

Sycamore trees and Cyprus knees

Said, "Hey, now baby it's all a dream!"

And it feels so good coming home

Where the water gives us life

Oh my, my

Let the water soothe your soul

'Cause it feels so good

Coming home
