Kids From Other Planets
R. DAWSON & S. FINK

Know I'll tell you, tell you true

The light was green and I was blue

Heard a rumble from the sky

Saw a ship to my surprise

Spun 'round circles above the trees

Saw those kids looking down at me

Then they landed in the field

Little flowers turned to steel

Looked me over

Remembered my name

Met them twice before they came

Met them twice before they came

Know our spaceship can go anywhere

They let me sit in the captain's chair

Faster than light is how we flew

Another trip that was long overdue

Twisting rhymes and shooting starts

We sang songs played space guitars

Bouncing back like skipping stones

Mama said we got to get back home

Said, "Let's go and take a ride"

"Why not, I'd like to fly"

We all turned into butterflies

In the field we fluttered by

We grew inside our dreams

Spiders, snakes, and laser beams

Walking in their ancient halls

Climbing on their sacred walls

Passing by the scattered moons

From the trees we ate the fruit

Playing games with my old friends

In their rains the colors bend

Come on over

Take my hand

In the field where it all began

In that field where it all began
